Jade Scott McCartney

Jade Scott McCartney was born in Maryland and raised in Miami, FL. She is a graduate of New World School of the Arts-University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Throughout her academic career she had the opportunity to perform works by such masters as Merce Cunningham, Alwin Nikolais, José Limón, Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, Mark Morris, Jon Lehrer, Derrick Minter, and John Parks. In 2019 Ms. McCartney was selected to perform in the Merce Cunningham Centennial Celebration at the 92Y Harkness Center. Ms. McCartney has presented her choreographic works at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center, Valencia College Performing Arts Center, Perez Art Museum, Revolution Live, and the Faena Theater. Additionally, she stays engaged in the community as a Fempower member, Barre Fitness Certified Instructor, mental health advocate, modeling coach, visual artist, and vessel of musical arrangements as MS. MANIA. Currently, she is a performer with the Peter London Global Dance Company, freelance artist, and dance instructor of various styles throughout South Florida.  She is delighted with teaching and directing our new and improved ballet program.  Our students affectionately call her Ms. Jade, and she is truly a treasure.
